ONLINE SURVEY RESULTS Our new online service was introduced six months ago and was designed and developed in-house by PLR staff. As the design was based around the requirements of users we were interested to find out if it had met expectations. We emailed a survey to all existing online users and are pleased to report that we received around 500 responses. The results of the survey are encouraging and confirm that our users are happy with the service and the new functions available – in particular being able to view registered titles. Thanks to all who participated. ANNUAL STATEMENTS AND PAYMENTS Online statements will be available to view on 4 January. An email will be sent to those who have an activated online account to advise that their statement is available. Users may then log into their secure online account to view/print their statement. Statements will be posted second class on 4 January to those who do not have an online account. If you would like to view your statement online and you do not currently have an online account, you must apply for a login before the office closes on 21 December. Any online transactions which are submitted after 21 December (including log in applications) will not be dealt with until the office re-opens on 2 January. Payment will be made between 5 – 15 February 2008. Please ensure that your bank details are up to date to prevent delay in receiving your payment. PLR LAUNCHES NEW UK WEBSITE PLR has launched a new and improved plr.uk.com website to expand on content, improve navigation, design and to conform to current best practice and utilise feedback from users. The site has been split into four main areas to ensure users can get to the information required as quickly and easily as possible. There is more information for writers and rightsholders in the Registration Service and Library Information areas. The All About PLR area provides background on what PLR does and what we are aiming to achieve. The Media Centre contains press releases, top 20/100 lists, publications and lots more. We hope you like the changes we have made. If you have any comments please complete our Feedback Form. STATEMENTS TO BE MADE AVAILABLE ONLINE Due to popular demand, with effect from January 2008, online users will be able to access their latest annual statement via their secure online account. In addition to the usual information included on the paper statements, the new facility will allow users to sort their statements in order of ISBN, title, publisher, loans and payment amounts. We plan to make statements available to view online on 4 January 2008 which is the same day that they will be posted (second class) to those who do not have an online account. If you do not have an online account, you may wish to apply for a login. If you are an existing user and have not yet reset your login details to activate your online account, please follow the instructions on the online login page. Alternatively, a member of the Author Services team would be happy to talk you through the process. In order to reduce postage costs and save paper, users with an online account will not automatically receive a statement in the post. You may log into your account and print a copy of your statement for your records if you wish. Alternatively, you may request a statement to be posted to you.
