PLR systems have been established in many countries around the world.

The Registrar of Public Lending Right in the UK is the coordinator for the PLR International Network which brings together those countries with established PLR systems and provides assistance and advice to countries interested in producing PLR schemes. There is a PLR International website which aims to promote international awareness of PLR and inform the PLR community of events, developments and news from around the world.

British authors can benefit from PLR payments in those countries which have a reciprocal agreement with the UK. To receive PLR from German, Dutch and Austrian libraries please contact ALCS which distributes foreign PLR to British authors.
